Artist Interpretation -
As I was praying one morning, the Lord showed me a winding path stretched before my closed eyes. Along the path stood a beautiful green tree offering ample shade, and I had an immediate sense that Jesus was there waiting for me under the tree. The shadow of a tree gives us a place to rest, keeping us cool in the summer and shielding us from the wind and the rain. And it’s a place where the Lord waits for us...“So the LORD must wait for you to come to Him so He can show you His love and compassion. For the LORD is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for His help.” (Isaiah 30:18) Under the shade of the Lord, we find protection from the elements of this world and we’re given a place to rest. He waits for you. He only asks that you come to Him. 

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” - Psalm 91:1-2
