Artist Interpretation -
To face the sun is to look up. When we look up, we are looking to a place higher than where we are physically standing - to a place that’s over our heads and above all our circumstances. It’s the place that the Lord is asking us to face - to the Son, because He is calling us to set our minds on things that are above, not on things that are on this earth. The beauty of the Lord’s promise to us, when we seek Him, is that He will be found and there is a great reward. “Whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). When we face the Son, His light enters our body, filling us with the kind of light and strength that can only come from looking to Him. Everything in us becomes affected. Our thoughts, actions and reactions begin to shift, coming from a Heavenly perspective. Therefore, “Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually!” (Psalm 105:4). Face the Son.
